The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:
- Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
- Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)RAAF Base Wagga
The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:
- Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
- Construction of new training facilities
- Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildingsRemedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services
**The Opportunity
As an Environmental Advisor, you be responsible for onsite environmental management and will lead the development and coordination of risk review processes and Environmental Management Plans throughout the project delivery. You'll manage compliance registers and monitor regulatory requirements, provide technical advice on high-risk projects, and implement audit schedules to ensure compliance. The role will require you to engage with a range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, participating in industry associations, and sharing knowledge and best practices within the team to promote environmental sustainability.
**What you’ll bring
- Hold or able to obtain a Government Security Clearance (Australian citizen is required) - must have
- A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy, Sustainability or related disciplines
- 3-5 years' experience in construction, environmental management, regional/local government or similar
- Experience on Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) rated projects, and qualifications as an Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) or ability to obtain.
- High level of Environmental legislative knowledge (state and / or national frameworks)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated time management and organisational skills
