The Metro Hotel South Perth has long been an iconic landmark on the South Perth peninsular, this busy award-winning hotel boasts spectacular views across the Swan River and City landscape, the hotel is a popular destination for regional WA and corporate guests.  The hotel has 147 hotel rooms comprising of both 3.5 star and 4.0-star accommodation options, restaurant and bar and function centre. The hotel is currently seeking to fill the position of full time Guest Service Agent to join our front office team.  This busy front desk requires our front-line employees to be very customer service focused, with excellent interpersonal skills, able to relate to all walks of life. You need to be a team player with an outgoing personality and be able to work (at times) under pressure. A sense of humour and a level of commitment to work as a team player delivering a high level of guest satisfaction is needed.

Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager or the Manager on Duty, your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Efficient completion of hotel processes including the check in/ check out of guests.
  • Attend to guest requests and queries promptly ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • All financial transactions pertaining to the guest and the hotel.
  • Ensuring all reporting is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a high standard of hotel and guest security.
  • Hotel administration such as reservations.
  • Attend to hotel switchboard.

If you do not have experience in hotels, we would still love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following qualities and skills:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role and committed to delivering a consistent high level of customer service.
  • A high level of computer literacy, exposure to a hotel PMS would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and in an unsupervised capacity.
  • It is an essential job requirement that you will be able to provide 7-day availability across morning and evening shifts including public holidays.
  • Current RSA or willingness to complete online.
  • Current and unrestricted rights to legally work in Australia
