Risk Officer

Join a strategic team delivering essential capability and security risk analysis within a major Defence program. As a Risk Officer, you will support performance reporting, governance uplift, and risk mitigation across Defence capability initiatives. This is a hands-on role contributing to the development of dashboards, procedures, and policies that shape the effectiveness and security posture of key programs.

Location: Canberra, ACT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse performance data and risk reports across Defence capability programs
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports for governance and oversight
  • Review and enhance security risk controls, policies, and frameworks
  • Support targeted improvements to risk management and governance systems

Key Criteria:

  • Experience in enterprise risk management, including security risk analysis
  • Ability to assess governance frameworks, systemic risk trends, and mitigation strategies
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills in high-pressure environments
  • Understanding of Defence environments and risk artefact development (e.g., policies, briefings)
