The Team
The Ashley Youth Detention Centre is located outside of Deloraine, Tasmania and is the only such centre in Tasmania. The facility is designed to help young people in a custodial environment get their lives back on track, so they can participate fully on their return to the community.

About The Role
In a multi-skilled and dynamic environment, provide a wide range of administrative services to Centre clients, staff and management to support business activities and projects.

We are looking for:

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
  • The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1 Conviction Checks In The Following Areas

  • crimes of violence
  • sex related offences
  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty
  • serious traffic offences

2 Identification check

3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
