About the role

As our Infant Mental Health Case Worker, you will provide early intervention and therapeutic support aimed at enhancing infants' social and emotional development, ultimately reducing mental health challenges later in life. You will work closely with families, delivering counselling, psychoeducation, and practical assistance, while fostering community connection and engagement. This role is a permanent part time position, 60.8 hours per fortnight based at our West Perth head office.

In this role, you will ensure support is both culturally appropriate and person-centred. You will implement early intervention strategies to promote the wellbeing of infants and children, while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment that prioritises child safety and safeguarding.

About you

We are seeking someone who is looking for a position that is meaningful and brings the opportunity to make a significant positive impact. With an in-depth understanding of the importance of networks you will have an ability to create supportive communities for young people. You will bring flexibility, initiative and an understanding of evidence-based models that support children and their families. Your key experience will include:

  • Tertiary degree in a relevant Human Services field or extensive relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based service models for working with infants, children, and families
  • Experience supporting complex young people and their families
  • The ability to engage effectively with community networks, service providers, and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A current Driver's Licence
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWC)
  • A National Police Clearance obtained within the last six months
