Assistant Coordinator

We are currently seeking a
permanent part-time Assistant Coordinator
to join our
YMCA Wavell Heights Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service
.

This role offers
34.5 hours per week during school terms
and up to
38 hours per week during vacation care
.

About The Role
As the Assistant Coordinator, you will support the Service Coordinator in the day-to-day operation of the service and the leadership of a team of Educators. You'll be guided by a strong management team, including your Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and the OSHC Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and delivery of engaging programs
• Support daily service operations
• Help manage staffing and team collaboration
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Assist with administration and documentation
• Build strong, positive relationships with families and the school community

About You

• Completed (or currently studying) a Diploma of Children's Services or relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching
• Experience assisting with programming and a passion for quality childcare
• Strong administration and documentation skills in an OSHC setting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) would be advantageous
