Cairns North, Queensland, Australia Cairns Queenslander Hotel Full time $45,000 - $60,000 per year

The Cairns Queenslander Hotel & Apartments are looking for a self-motivated, reliable Night Auditor to play the key role in the smooth running of all night reception operations.

This is a full-time position covering 4 nights a week in a set roster (currently Monday - Thursday), with shifts running from 9pm to 7am.

Preference will be given to candidates with sound experience in a similar role and a background in tourism/hospitality with flexible availability.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Completing an audit of daily hotel operations and general reception duties with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Providing exceptional customer service including check in and checkout of guests, answering telephone calls, reservation enquiries and attending to guest requests
  • Processing reservations both online, and by phone. Ensuring accuracy and hotel procedures are followed
  • Ensuring effective communication thorough handovers at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Reconcile and balance daily financial activities
  • Preparation of reservations for the following day ensuring accuracy and all details are correct with special requests noted
  • Ensuring security of the property and our guests
  • Daily cleaning of the Reception area

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have experience in a similar role or environment and be able to work between 9pm and 7am on set days.

You will have a high level of attention to detail and will be able to work autonomously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
