A rare opportunity exists for a graduate legal officer/legal officer to join the ETU's Queensland team.

As a legal officer with the ETU you are a key part of executing the industrial/legal aspect of our mission.

Our graduate legal officer/legal officer will report to the Senior Legal Officer and with support and supervision will:

  • providing strategic and considered advice and advocacy to the Qld Branch and its members on individual matters such as unfair dismissal, show causes, discrimination, sexual harassment, flexible work arrangements, contract advice and more;
  • engage in legal research;
  • advocacy before the Fair Work Commission (including PABOs, MSDs, bargaining disputes, good faith bargaining orders, scope orders, unfair dismissals, IBDs etc);
  • develop and deliver educational/training materials for organisers and members.

Salary expectations

Depending on experience the role would start from $100k + generous above SGL superannuation + vehicle (including private use) + 5 weeks annual leave + 12 RDOs per year and more.
