Shellby Power is seeking a full time Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Archerfield QLD. The successful candidate will bring design and engineering experience, effective communication skills, and a positive attitude to our Operations Team.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the engineering team for design and development of New Generation Gas /Hybrid Powered Generators. (Electric or Hydraulic Output).
  • Conducting calculation for hydraulic system and fabricated structures to validate functional, structural integrity, stability, fatigue, and other criteria as per AS/ISO standards.
  • Creation of well-written engineering reports, PFD's/P&ID's, Procedures, Instruction Guidelines and other supporting documents.
  • Performing mechanical design using 3D package and detail drafting in Autodesk Inventor. (Fabricated/Sheetmetal/Hoses/Pipes)
  • Practise, Implement and Oversee Company Product Data Management, Engineering Change Management and Release management using Vault.
  • Performing Structural and Vibration FEA Analysis.
  • Driving Part level and System level validation as per specification and customer requirements.
  • Liaison with Suppliers, Clients and third-party certifiers.
  • Providing engineering support to Production (NPI/CPI), Sales and marketing team.
  • Supporting Quality team for Part Inspection and Quality Assurance topics.

About the Successful Candidate

  • Degree Qualified Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in hydraulic system design in the power/heavy industry or equivalent industry is desired. (Hydraulic Pumps/Motors/Valves & Hoses)
  • Demonstrable experience in mechanical design role in the Power Generators or equivalent industry is desired, not essential.
  • High level of proficiency in CAD (Inventor preferred).
  • Attention to detail with an organised and problem-solving skillset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
  • Proactive and Team Player with go to attitude.
  • Full Working Rights in Australia.

  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
