**The Opportunity**:
Our client would ideally like to employ someone who has either **started their relevant apprenticeship and is currently in their 1**st** or 2**nd** year**, or someone who has gained some **relevant trade assistant experience **and now would like to put that experience into gaining a qualification.

Undertaking this **four-year apprenticeship** will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter and you will earn your **MEM30219 **Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical** **(Fitting)**.

This role is based in **Archerfield** **in Brisbane.

**Job Details**:
Our client **Voith Turbo** is a part of the Voith Group, a worldwide company that has been in existence for more than 150 years. It comprises three divisions including Turbo, Paper and Hydro and is currently operating in 60 countries around the globe.

The role will be workshop based and will include doing disassembly, repair and assembly of drives, couplings and transmissions for machinery that's used in a wide range of industries including mining, gas, marine, rail and power plants.

On top of this you will be required to have:

- Willingness to learn and ask questions
- Attention to detail
- Reliability and good presentation
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Driver’s licence P Plate minimum to get to work
- Excellent safety awareness
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
