Our team is growing; we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team in our Brisbane office.
About the role
- Be a key Contributor to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
- The ability to deliver technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes, and best practice standards.
- Prepare technical reports related to design issues.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule
- Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion into the project specific execution plan
- Manage and review the Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and time-based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and taking corrective action if necessary
- Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.)
- Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures
- Ensure that company approved design tools, software, relevant codes and standards to be used on the project
About you
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering & hold RPEQ Accreditation
- Experience in the detailed design of mineral processing plants essential
- Experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals is highly advantageous
- 10+ years in an EPCM environment
- Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and Client liaison skills
- Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work
- Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation
- Strong interpersonal skills
