About you:

  • Small Engine Mechanic experience, or similar role.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Be presentable and approachable.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Qualifications highly regarded.
  • Forklift licence beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair problems and/or failures in a wide variety of equipment (e.g. mowers, edger's, pumps, compressors, hydraulic  rams, sprayers, generators, switches, lights, etc.)
  • Follow manufacturers service manuals /checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
  • Clean, sharpen, and lubricate a variety of motorised equipment (e.g. reel mowers, blades, hedge trimmer, edger's, trimmers, etc.)
  • Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components.
  • Reassemble and test repaired engines and components.
  • Ensure units are operating safely and correctly.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrication, blade sharpening, and engine tune-ups.
  • Conduct pre-delivery checks to ensure that the equipment is fully functioning and available for delivery.
  • Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts.
  • Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts.
