Job Description

Reporting to the Safety Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, implementation and delivery of safety strategies, systems and initiatives.

About the Role

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safety strategies, systems, and initiatives
  • Engage with operational leaders to drive safety improvement
  • Support the site leadership drive a positive culture through engagement and communication
  • Utilise data analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and inform decision-making.
  • Develop and coordinate site assurance program
  • Maintain and identify improvement in the safety management system
  • Provide technical advice regarding risk management framework at HVO

Roster and Location

  • Monday to Friday professional roster
  • Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

About You

  • Qualifications in Work, Health and Safety
  • Auditing qualification with demonstrated experience
  • Minimum 3 years working in a similar role
  • High level of computer literacy
  • A positive disposition with the ability to influence and inspire others
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads, projects and conflicting priorities to achieve competing deadlines
  • Holds self and others to account
  • Authentic safety professional with a passion for results
  • Compelling communicator with the courage to challenge the status quo
