ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the
State Business Development Manager
, the State Health & Fitness Manager is responsible for leading PCYC's health and fitness portfolio. You'll oversee gym operations, membership products, and fitness programming to deliver consistent, safe, and impactful services across all clubs.
You will:
- Lead the execution of the PCYC
Fit, Active and Connected Strategy
across all relevant clubs. - Translate strategic goals into operational plans, KPIs, and performance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain membership products, youth offerings, and group fitness programming.
- Establish and maintain state-wide gym standards, including amenities, equipment, and programming.
- Manage rollout of CRM systems, digital sign-up tools, and member engagement platforms.
- Build relationships with schools, health providers, and sporting organisations.
- Oversee gym audits, performance benchmarking, and continuous improvement.
- Design and deliver training programs for gym staff, instructors, and coordinators.
- Collaborate with marketing to position PCYC as a trusted fitness brand.
- Work with Regional Operations Managers to support and mentor Club Managers.
- Ensure integration of fitness services with PCYC's broader youth and community programs.
- Ensure compliance with PCYC policies, health & safety requirements, and child protection obligations.
ABOUT US
Established in 1937, PCYC NSW is a life-changing charity collaborating in partnership with communities and NSW Police to empower youth, get kids active in life, and reduce and prevent youth crime. We have sixty-six clubs and eighteen OOSH services across NSW, with a vision for significant growth.
Our aim is to engage with and positively influence over 70,000 youth members through mainstream sport, recreation, education, leadership, and cultural programs. We also work with at-risk youth to break the cycle of disadvantage through crime prevention, vocational education, youth capacity building, and social responsibility programs to enhance the life direction and outcomes of over 7,500 youth per year

ABOUT YOU
You're a strategic and hands-on leader with proven experience in health and fitness operations. You know how to drive innovation and consistency while balancing business performance with community wellbeing.
YOU WILL HAVE:
- A strong alignment with PCYC NSW's values: Respect, Community, Integrity, Commitment, and Resilience.
- Qualifications in fitness, health promotion, or business management.
- Certificate IV in Fitness (essential).
- Proven experience in
multi-site fitness operations leadership
. - Strong understanding of the Australian fitness market and emerging trends.
- Demonstrated success in program design, staff development, and member engagement.
- Experience with
CRM systems, digital fitness tools, and performance analytics
. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Willingness to travel across NSW as required.
