About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our development team in Perth. You'll play a key role in building and scaling two core products:

  • TytonAI – Our machine learning engine for high-resolution flora & vegetation classification
  • TytonIQ – A modular ecological analytics platform for condition, rehabilitation, and biodiversity monitoring

This is a hands-on role across both frontend and backend systems, working on feature development, API integration, and spatial data processing. The position is Perth-based, with a hybrid working model (some flexibility for work-from-home).

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain scalable, full-stack applications in a modern cloud environment
  • Develop APIs, backend services, and frontend interfaces using TypeScript, Go, Python, and React
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team including ML engineers and ecologists
  • Work on tools that process and visualise spatial and ecological data at scale
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and support continuous platform improvement

  • Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (GKE), Temporal
  • Database: PostgreSQL + PostGIS
  • Other: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development
  • Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript
  • Backend development skills in Go, Python or C#
  • Understanding of scalable architecture, API design, and cloud infrastructure
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
  • Must be based in Perth or willing to relocate

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with geospatial or remote sensing data (e.g. GIS, PostGIS)
  • Exposure to MLOps or AI/ML systems
  • Background in environmental or scientific domains
