Legal Aid NSW delivers accessible legal services across criminal, family and civil law. We provide advice, court representation, and family dispute resolution through 28 offices and phone-based support, helping people navigate the legal system with confidence and fairness.
About the role
The Project Officer E-Learning supports the delivery of strategic HR projects and drives the development of engaging online learning experiences across Legal Aid NSW. Working closely with senior HR leaders, this role contributes to capability building through effective project coordination and digital content management.
The role supports the work of the Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) to create and deliver high quality and effective learning materials for Legal Aid NSW staff and panel practitioners. The role will contribute to the development of creative content, support the production of podcast and video products, and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Roles and accountabilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of eLearning solutions that support organisational capability, compliance, and strategic learning priorities.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), internal stakeholders, and external providers to develop engaging, accessible, and inclusive digital learning content.
- Ensure alignment of eLearning initiatives with organisational development strategies, and Legal Aid NSW values.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of eLearning programs, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide expert advice and support to business units on digital learning methodologies, instructional design, and blended learning approaches.
- Champion digital learning and capability uplift, promoting adoption and embedding of eLearning across the organisation.
- Manage eLearning projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and in accordance with procurement and governance requirements.
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends and technologies in digital learning and apply them to enhance learning experiences and outcomes.
- Support compliance and mandatory training delivery, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting to meet regulatory and organisational requirements
About you
You are a skilled Project Officer with demonstrated experience supporting human resources initiatives within a complex organisational environment. You possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies and workforce planning processes and are adept at producing high-quality documentation to support strategic decision-making. Your expertise in developing and managing online learning content enables you to deliver effective digital training solutions aligned with organisational objectives. You are confident working with senior stakeholders, capable of identifying risks and recommending practical solutions, and committed to delivering outcomes that enhance organisational capability and performance.

You must:
- be willing to do a Criminal Record Check
- hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
