About The Role:
We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented individual who is keen to build their knowledge in Financial Planning and Private Wealth Management. The successful candidate will be part of a national paraplanning team reporting the Strategic Advice Manager. We are looking for candidates in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
The Strategic Paraplanner role will provide you with broader exposure than a typical paraplanning role. Whilst preparation of high quality SoA's is a core function, you will also conduct quality assurance reviews, provide high quality technical support and strategy consulting to advisers.
The key responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to:
- Providing comprehensive, high-quality support to advisers.
- Preparing complex SOAs and ROAs based on briefing and information from advisers.
- Preparing financial projections for High-Net-Worth clients.
- Gathering accurate information from Insurance and Superannuation providers.
- Ensuring compliance throughout the preparation and delivery of all financial planning documentation and advice.
- Consulting with advisers on advice process and appropriate strategy for clients.
- Conducting technical strategy research using a wide variety of resources.
- Guiding private wealth assistants in implementing advice.
About You:
The successful candidate will possess:
- Tertiary/Post-graduate qualifications in Financial Planning or a related field.
- Have completed or working towards Financial Adviser Education Standard requirements.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the preparation of Statements of Advice, Financial projections and adviser support.
- Comprehensive hands-on experience with Xplan (Client Focus, Risk Researcher, Wealth Solver, XTools+ and IPS), including SOA generation.
- Advanced Word and Excel skills.
- Broad knowledge of the Financial Planning advice process, portfolio construction and implementation, financial markets, structures, entities and products.
- Ability to demonstrate basic levels of technical and financial skills, including financial modelling and mathematical skills.
- Ability to manage own workflow and priorities, and can accommodate unexpected requests or needs from advisers
- Ability to analyse and integrate information from a variety of sources and draw accurate and logical solutions.
- A sound understanding of compliance issues associated with the provision of financial advice.
