About The Role
The Senior Paraplanner is responsible for producing well researched, technically accurate and compliant Statements of Advice and Records of Advice for financial planners, ensuring the content of the plan is relevant, valuable and appropriate for Perk's clients. Working closely with the Financial Planners you will also be responsible for determining appropriate financial advice strategies and utilizing financial planning software in order to undertake scenario comparisons and reports.

Duties

  • Prepare highly tailored Statements of Advice (SoA) based upon information provided by Financial Planners through the fact find, risk profile and recommended strategies;
  • Liaise with Perks' dedicated in-house investment research staff;
  • Analyse financial reports and records, liaise with accountants & product providers (as required) and review clients' financial information;
  • Actively contribute and be a punctual member to training, team meetings and firm wide activity;
  • Ensure all documents produced are fully compliant and in line with Perks Private Wealth policies

Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years plus experience as a Paraplanner;
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance obligations that Paraplanners and Financial Planners operate;
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and conflicting priorities;
  • Completion of relevant formal qualifications, minimum ADFP and RG146;
  • Completion of Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning (highly desirable)
  • Experience in using XPLAN software; (advantageous)
  • Tertiary qualifications desirable in business discipline or related field
