About us:

NazCare is a small 32 bed residential aged care facility located in Woolloongabba Qld, providing high quality care and service to our frail aged. We are a Not-for-profit organisation with an outstanding team.

We have a high reputation for outstanding quality care service and safety.

This is a permanent part-time role of 18 hours a week or 36 hours a fortnight.

Qualifications and experience:

  • This role is ideal for a person with a grounds maintenance background with appropriate skills.
  • Capacity and ability to work in aged care in a supportive team setting.
  • Aptitude to learn new skills and to participate in further education including provision of education to fellow employees.
  • Demonstrated past experience in a similar role would be an advantage however where you feel you are the right person, we'd like to hear from you.
  • A National Police Clearance check is required.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Your role: as the Garden / Maintenance officer, your tasks will include:

  • maintaining the environmental standards of the facility
  • maintaining the facility grounds, cleanliness of the external area and securing of equipment
  • supporting our organisation in meeting regulatory obligations
  • keen eye for detail on safety related practices
  • to demonstrate a people focused outlook with high level of communication skills within a diverse work setting
  • ability to support our Environment Safety Supervisor in gardening, maintenance and repairs.
