Join the Coles Group as a Payroll Compliance Officer and play a pivotal role in ensuring payroll compliance across our diverse portfolio of brands. Your expertise will help us maintain a consistent approach to payroll, reducing non-compliance risks and championing best practices.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct thorough compliance checks across the payroll landscape to identify and mitigate risks of non-compliance with employment legislation and EA terms and conditions.
  • Provide tactical solutions for immediate issues and contribute to the development of long-term strategic improvements.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure consistent payroll practices across all brands.
  • Monitor and report on payroll compliance, providing oversight and assurance.

What You'll Bring:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in payroll auditing and compliance.
  • Strong background in payroll operations, compliance, and controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll and T&A systems, as well as end-to-end payroll processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll tax, workcover legislation, superannuation, and PAYG.
  • Ability to interpret complex industrial instruments, including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements (EAs).
  • Experience in identifying and consolidating payroll compliance risks and issues.
  • Expertise in managing and applying payroll risk compliance frameworks.
