Who are St Pats?

St Patrick's Community Support Centre Limited (or St Pat's as it is affectionately known) is an award-winning not-for-profit homelessness support service and community housing provider. We have been working side-by-side with vulnerable people in the South Metropolitan region of Perth for more than 50 years. Our mission is to end homelessness in our community.

To achieve our mission, we work in partnership with government and human services agencies, businesses, and the broader community to provide a range of high-quality services delivered to break the cycle of poverty and disadvantage. These include housing, health and dental care, crisis intervention and emergency relief, social inclusion, and specialist support services.

Our collaborative integrated and person-centred approach allows us to be there for people at every stage of their journey out of homelessness.

  • Offer brief interventions, advocacy and warm referrels to community services.
  • Build strong referral networks and community connections.
  • Support library and community staff by sharing skills in trauma-informed practice, de-escalation and effective engagement with vulnerable people.
  • Contribute to community awareness activities, workshops and outreach.
  • Maintain accurate records, case notes and program reporting.

This is a highly collaborative role that works closely with both library teams and St Pat's programs to ensure all visitors feel welcome, respected and supported.
