We are looking for a carpenter to join us as a full-time employee.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Studying blueprints or drawings of the planned construction or repairs and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed.
  • Ordering and selecting timbers and materials and preparing layouts.
  • Cutting materials and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts.
  • Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures.
  • Lay out floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatible.
  • Frame room additions as needed for client.
  • Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install and subsequently install them.
  • Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames.
  • Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements.
  • Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
  • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.
  • May have to repair existing fittings.
  • May work with plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Certificate III or higher
  • Minimum of at least two years of experience
  • Eye for detail
  • Knowledge of Australian work safety standards
  • Good physical condition and endurance

Remuneration

Successful candidate will be paid the salary of $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation. If you have relevant qualification or experience please email your resume or click apply.
