About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Carpenter to join our growing team. This is a leadership role where you'll oversee site operations, mentor apprentices, work hands-on, and ensure our projects are delivered on time, with high standards, and in line with our core values.
We are seeking someone with a Motivated Mindset that wants to grow their skillset and work with likewise people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day site activities.
- Manage and mentor apprentices and carpenters, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety.
- Read and interpret building plans, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Liaise with our clients, our Project manager, and our subcontractors to maintain clear communication.
- Ensure all work meets our high-quality standards and OH&S compliance.
- Work hands-on with:
- Framing
- Cladding
- Decks & pergolas
- Doors & door hardware
- Bathroom renovations
- Drive efficiency and problem-solving on-site to keep projects moving forward.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified carpenter (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent).
- Minimum 4 years carpentry experience (leadership experience highly regarded).
- Full set of tools and ability to transport ladders/materials.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Positive, proactive, and solution-focused attitude.
- Ability to lead by example and foster a strong team culture.
Required Licenses & Qualifications
- Trade Certificate in Carpentry
- White Card
- Driver's License
