The Role

We're seeking an Electrical/HVAC Technician to deliver high-quality maintenance and repair services across our client sites. You'll partner with our clients and the BGIS team to ensure HVAC and electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role involves a mix of mechanical and electrical work, performing planned and reactive maintenance while maintaining excellent client relationships and a strong focus on safety, quality, and performance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning and ventilation systems
  • Conduct maintenance on chillers, package units, split systems, and filtration equipment
  • Undertake general electrical works, planned maintenance, and breakdown repairs
  • Inspect and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) for optimal performance
  • Provide high-quality customer service and maintain strong client relationships
  • Adhere to all BGIS safety, quality, and environmental procedures

Your Education, Experience & Skills

  • Trade qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (minimum requirement)
  • Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCTick)
  • Restricted or Full Electrical Licence
  • White Card (General Construction Induction)
  • Current manual driver's licence
  • 1–5 years' experience in a similar HVAC/electrical maintenance role
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexible, proactive, and safety-focused attitude
  • Full working rights in Australia (essential)
