Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is Australia's largest rural water corporation responsible for storing, managing and delivering water across most of northern Victoria. GMW provides more than 39,000 services to about 25,000 customers in its operating region.

About the role

Based in Kerang but will be required to perform duties across the western GMW irrigation areas (Pyramid Hill/Kerang/Swan Hill districts). You'll join the Infrastructure Delivery Services (IDS) Field Services team providing civil maintenance services across these areas to maintain and renew the varied asset portfolio of irrigation and drainage infrastructure, including pipelines.

Working in a team environment, you'll provide assistance in our upcoming 2025 Winter Works Program through labouring, equipment operation and record keeping using GMW's Maximo system.

This role is a great starting point for those wanting to gain hands-on skills in an essential industry.

It would be an advantage to have some demonstrated experience in working safely around machinery including (but not limited to) excavators, various trucks, tractors, and other minor plant as well as general civil maintenance skills.

What do you need?

Mandatory:

· Construction White Card or Industry Recognised Safety Industry Card

Desired:

· Heavy Rigid truck licence

· Excavator licence with experience

· General maintenance experience

· Have the ability to be flexible with a variety of work and have a desire to listen and learn in a team environment with a can do attitude.
