About Our School
Mt Maria College is a Catholic co-educational secondary school with an enrolment of over 1160 students. A school in the Marist tradition, we also draw upon the richness of the Good Samaritan and Good Shepherd charisms as we bring faith and learning to life for our students.

About The Opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Leading the overall curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation across the school under the direction of Senior Leadership
- Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through whole-school professional development and targeted support for teacher improvement
- Collaborating with Curriculum Leaders, teaching staff, and Senior Leadership to review curriculum frameworks and plan future directions
- Leading teacher performance through professional dialogue, reflective practice, and formal/informal goal setting and appraisal
- Staying current with curriculum and pedagogy developments and guiding whole-school professional learning accordingly
- Providing induction and mentoring for beginning teachers in collaboration with Senior Leadership and Curriculum Leaders
- Supervising student learning across the school using internal and external data, and implementing strategic interventions
- Contributing to school leadership through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings
- Managing financial and material resources within the curriculum area, including budget planning and expenditure
- Supporting the embedding of the Mt Maria Pedagogical Framework as well as the BCE Excellent Learning and Teaching agenda into pedagogical practices in the College
- Fostering a culture where staff share a common language about pedagogy and there is regular, school-wide discussion about effective pedagogical practices
- Providing professional development and monitoring improvement of pedagogical practice in identified areas of need
About You
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Developed work programs in alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
- Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
- Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
- Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
- Having responsibility for a financial budget.
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
