The Opportunity
As Senior Transactions Manager, you will play a key role in supporting acquisitions and divestments across Dexus's Alternative Investments portfolio. This role combines strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and transaction execution to drive investment outcomes and support business growth.
You will make an impact by:
- Originating and executing transactions to support the growth of Alternative Investments, leveraging market engagement and industry relationships.
- Assessing and structuring deals across various asset classes and risk profiles, ensuring alignment with investment strategies.
- Managing end-to-end transaction processes, coordinating internal teams and external consultants to deliver outcomes within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity, preparing investment papers and business plans to inform decision-making.
- Contributing to investment management thinking, supporting process improvement initiatives and effectively communicating progress and risks to senior stakeholders.
About You
This role requires a commercially minded investment professional with strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder engagement skills, and a deep understanding of property markets and investment strategies, along with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Property, Land Economics, Real Estate, Commerce or Business; postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CFA, MBA or Master of Applied Finance are highly regarded.
- 7+ years' experience in property or private equity, with exposure to a range of investment styles including development, value-add, core, and credit strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of valuation tools such as Forbury, ARGUS or Estate Master, and a track record of improving business processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across internal and external networks.
- Strategic thinker with intellectual curiosity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
