About the role

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an entry level Marine Surveyor to join our Caleb Brett team in Melbourne, in a casual capacity. This is an excellent chance to make a meaningful impact with a globally respected company while growing your career in a dynamic and rewarding role. As a Marine Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting a range of surveys and inspections related to cargo, marine, petroleum, chemical, and grain on sea-going and bulk cargo vessels, for which training will be provided.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing Cargo, Marine, Petroleum, Chemical, and Grain surveys and inspections.
  • Preparing detailed reports and invoices.
  • Liaising with clients, shipping agents, and vessel staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contributing to general office functions, ensuring accurate reporting and timely analysis of results.
  • Providing support for terminal and wharf duties as needed.
  • The role requires the successful candidate to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card.
  • Experience with oil, fuel and LPG tankers, dry cargo, and marine inspections is beneficial.
