DNV Maritime Region Southeast Asia Pacific & India is seeking a marine surveyor to join their Fleet in Service FIS team in Melbourne Australia.

A qualified marine surveyor/auditor will be part of a highly skilled team of surveyors and auditors conducting various ship types across Australian and New Zealand Ports.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining compliance with rules regulations instructions guidelines and quality requirements
  2. Conducting classification surveys and audits as per procedure and guidelines liaising with Port and Flag states when necessary
  3. Maintaining confidentiality of client business processes designs developments and documentation
  4. SUPERVISION OF OTHERS ensuring work is carried out efficiently economically
  5. Reporting important information to line management promptly
  6. Providing customer-focused support promoting DNV onboard or on-site acting as technical resource for customer inquiries
