Our client is a community-focused not-for-profit organisation based in Carlton, Victoria, dedicated to fostering inclusion, empowerment, and social equity. With deep roots in the local area, the organisation provides a diverse range of services aimed at supporting individuals and families experiencing social or economic disadvantage.

Description

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, accounting standards, and funding requirements.
  • Assist with grant acquittals, donor reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Maintain financial systems, internal controls, and data integrity.
  • Support leadership with financial insights and strategic planning.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, funders, and regulatory bodies.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience within the not-for-profit space in a Finance Officer role (where you were exposed to both AR and AP)
  • Experience with Excel
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn quickly and be adaptive
