Position Overview

As a Paralegal at JHK Legal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by preparing, reviewing and organising legal documents. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with lawyers and clients. If you are a proactive and dedicated professional with a background in legal drafting, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities


• Draft and prepare legal documents, including contracts, pleadings and agreements


• Support legal proceedings by conducting thorough research on case law, statutes and regulations


• Review and proofread documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to legal guidelines in all drafted documents


• Maintain an organised system for legal files, ensuring easy retrieval and accessibility


• Work closely with our lawyers to understand case requirements and provide necessary document support


• Prepare exhibits, compile case materials and assist in trial preparation when required


• Facilitate communication between legal professionals and clients, providing updates and gathering necessary information

Qualifications


• Proven experience as a Paralegal in a law firm


• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures and documentation


• Excellent drafting and proofreading skills


• Proficient in legal research and document management software


• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
