The Role

Reporting to the Director of National Operations, you will be responsible for managing a low volume of our purchasing and logistics functions. You will also be responsible for supervising our small production & warehouse team of five (5) based in Kings Park, NSW.

Requiring outstanding interpersonal skills and organisational abilities, this role is integral to the Operations team. The ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines is also essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement, Logistics & Warehousing

  • Create and follow up on Purchase Orders according to work schedule, sales orders, and inventory records
  • Manage all import freight and custom duty
  • Arrange internal stock transfers between branches
  • Forecast levels of demand for materials to meet the project delivery and production requirements
  • Manage stock and maintain optimum inventory levels in all states
  • Source the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
  • Manage the quality performance of suppliers and products
  • Work with Sales and Operations team to ensure that capacity levels are maintained to match demand in the short term and long term
  • Identify and rectify any delivery errors with suppliers
  • Conduct annual stocktake, record and make adjustments in the system

Manufacturing & Assembly

  • Determine and notify factory of production requirements according to work schedule, sales orders, and inventory records
  • Ensure production order is created for all production in the system
  • Monitor production process and status until completion

Key Requirements

  • Qualification in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain or similar
  • 3 years previous experience in purchasing/logistics/distribution management
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to strategize and implement in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent and clear verbal and written communication
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
