  • Ensure all work is meaningfully focused on building an engaged alumni community and increasing alumni and staff donor participation
  • Develop effective communication plans and write and coordinate purposeful communications across a range of platforms for target audiences
  • Proactively work to build and nurture strong relationships with alumni and stakeholders through one-to-one and mass engagement
  • Proactively contribute to University Advancement goals, adopt best practice standards and adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate the highest possible standards of professional and personal conduct, modelling the University's Values and Signature Behaviours.

Who we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in alumni or community engagement and/or community-based fundraising.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, develop and manage programs, events and initiatives to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with well-developed relationship management skills which contribute to the values, goals and objectives of the role and promote a positive team culture.
  • Demonstrated professional writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate and timely communication materials, for diverse, multi-cultural audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team and independently, using initiative to resolve issues in a customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to network and develop and nurture relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Role Requirements:

  1. As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
  2. Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin's satisfaction
