The role

As the Manager, Business Analysis and Quality Assurance you will play a dual role, combining the responsibilities of a Senior Business Analyst with oversight of Test Delivery. You'll lead and develop a team of Business Analysts and QA professionals, ensuring alignment between business needs, solution design, and quality outcomes.

The team

The Project Delivery function helps deliver APRA's strategic projects, incorporating program and project management, PMO and change management. Responsible for APRA's project methodology, the standards for project management throughout APRA including creating and maintaining procedures, reporting and application of best practices. Supporting projects by defining and planning, portfolio prioritisation and changes affecting people internally and externally and executing the change plans to ensure business readiness for the changes and to embed sustainable change.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Business Analysts and QA/Test professionals.
  • Provide hands-on business analysis on complex initiatives, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution evaluation.
  • Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Champion best practices in business analysis and testing across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with delivery leads, product owners, and technical teams to ensure traceability from requirements through to tested solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in BA and QA methodologies, tools, and templates.
  • Support capability uplift and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

About you

  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst with exposure to test delivery or QA leadership.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deep understanding of business analysis (e.g., BABOK) and testing frameworks (e.g., ISTQB, ISO
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working in agile, hybrid, or waterfall environments.
  • Passion for quality, continuous improvement, and delivering business value.

To work with us, you must be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
