The role
At Gippsland Water, we have a dedicated Trade Waste team to ensure that waste produced in industrial, business, trade and manufacturing processes does not harm the environment, our customers or our infrastructure. We do this by ensuring the discharge of Trade Waste into our wastewater systems and wastewater treatment plants meets our regulatory requirements.
As the Commercial Trade Waste Officer, you'll work closely with the Commercial Trade Waste Lead to effectively manage, monitor and maintain agreements with our trade waste customers.
You will assist with the overall billing cycle, including correct and timely billing of commercial trade waste in accordance with Gippsland Water's tariff structure. You will also contribute to the preparation of reports and updating of procedures to ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
What you'll bring
- Certificate IV in Water Operations (Trade Waste) or relevant water industry experience.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively liaise with and gain cooperation from various key stakeholders.
- Sound oral and written skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team and contribute to the team's success.
