The role of Regional Director for Oceania is responsible for leading the overall commercial strategy, growth, and operations within Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific markets. This executive role requires a seasoned leader who can drive revenue, foster strong client relationships, and align internal teams to meet aggressive business objectives in a fast-moving payments or fintech environment.
In addition to being the legal representative and organisational figurehead, the Regional Director will serve as the primary driver of regional growth, performance delivery, and risk management. Reporting into the Region MD, this position requires leadership across both sales and enabling functions, balancing strategic foresight with day-to-day operational control.
Duties & key responsibilities:
- Full accountability for region P&L, including revenue, profitability, operations and cost management.
- Leadership of both sales and non-sales teams, across finance, operations, HR, compliance, and technology functions.
- Growth mandate to deepen customer relationships, diversify market risk, protect market share, and secure new business opportunities.
- Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, client success, and operations to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships with key enterprise clients, merchants, and partners, acting as the senior executive sponsor to ensure long-term success and growth.
We are seeking a commercially oriented and growth-focused sales centric Director with deep experience in leading a complex teams and scaling business.
Ideal background:
- Previous experience as a Region Director, General Manager, or similar senior executive role within a multinational organisation. (Ideally technology-driven, or service-based B2B sectors)
- Demonstrated success in P&L ownership at scale, ideally across multiple regions and +300 staff headcount
- Strong sales DNA: proven ability to scale businesses, build high-performing go-to-market engines, and deliver commercial outcomes.
- Track record of navigating turnaround or high-growth environments, ideally within SaaS, B2B solutions, financial services, or technology-driven industries.
- Strong EQ, resilience, and executive influence – able to inspire diverse teams, win customer trust, and build stakeholder alignment.
- Advocates for inclusion and talent development, with a leadership style that attracts and retains high-calibre professionals.
