Full Time | Office Based | South East / Kilsyth

We are growing and are looking for a proactive and organised Transport Allocator / Scheduler to join our Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring our many and varied liquid waste jobs are planned, coordinated and completed efficiently, safely and in line with customer expectations.

You'll be the central point of communication between our customers, drivers and operations leadership — making sure our fleet of 19 vehicles are in the right place at the right time, every time.

What You'll Be Doing


• Plan, schedule and allocate daily liquid waste jobs for our fleet (vacuum trucks, service vehicles).


• Liaise directly with customers regarding bookings, service windows and job requirements.


• Support drivers throughout the day with schedule adjustments, updates and service issues.


• Monitor job progress to ensure work is completed on time and to standard.


• Maintain accurate job records, compliance logs and service documentation (EPA, Water Authority, disposal site records).


• Assist in coordinating and responding to after-hours customer requests, including arranging a technician to attend site when required.


• Work collaboratively with Customer Service to smooth workflow and meet customer expectations.


• Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and resource planning.

What You'll Bring


• Experience in transport allocating, fleet coordination, dispatch or logistics scheduling (waste industry experience highly regarded).


• Strong communication skills — confident in dealing with customers and drivers.


• Ability to think on your feet, prioritise and handle changing situations calmly.


• Solid organisational and administration skills, with an eye for detail.


• Good working knowledge of compliance requirements OR willingness to learn (EPA, NHVR, disposal requirements).


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with scheduling platforms such as Field Insight is an advantage.


• Understanding of the liquid waste, wastewater, civil, plumbing or environmental services sectors is highly desirable, but not essential.
