TAMSO is a fast-growing commodity trading company, connecting global mills with distributors and end-users across the APAC and MENA regions. Based in Sydney, we specialise in sourcing, logistics, and market development for steel products, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
About the Position:
As we expand, TAMSO is looking for a motivated
Business Intern
to support our trading operations and business development. In this role, you will work closely with our Director, engaging with distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers, while contributing to market analysis, client outreach, and deal execution. You will take substantial ownership of your work and gain hands-on experience in global steel trading.
As a
Business Intern - Physical Commodity Trading
, you'll be working on:
Strategy & Operation:
- Conduct research to identify high-potential geographic regions and markets.
- Analyse market demand, competitor activity, and government regulations to guide expansion.
- Explore opportunities in other commodities for import-export to diversify TAMSO's trading portfolio.
Revenue & Sales:
- Research potential buyers, including distributors, manufacturers, and construction firms, to identify key decision-makers.
- Conduct targeted cold outreach (calls, emails, networking) to generate leads and build new business opportunities.
- Understand client requirements and match them with appropriate steel products and pricing.
