Visual Merchandise Manager
to lead the HOUSE and Robins Kitchen visual merchandising function.
Based between our St Kilda Rd Head Office and in-store locations, this role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining high-impact visual merchandising strategies that elevate the customer experience, drive sales, and bring our brand stories to life. You will lead a team of four talented VM professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Team Leadership
– Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 4 Visual Merchandisers, providing direction, feedback, and professional development to deliver consistently high VM standards. - Brand Storytelling
– Design and execute visually compelling displays, layouts, and in-store experiences that align with HOUSE and Robins Kitchen brand identities and seasonal campaigns. - National VM Guidelines
– Develop and roll out national VM guides, creating mock-ups and displays at Head Office to ensure clear direction for store teams. - Campaign & Promotional Execution
– Collaborate with product, marketing, and retail teams to deliver cohesive product launches, promotions, and brand campaigns across the store network. - Standards & Compliance
– Conduct regular store visits, audits, and reviews of store setup photos to ensure consistent execution and provide constructive feedback. - Store Projects
– Plan and implement VM strategies for new store openings, refurbishments, and relocations, ensuring layouts maximise customer flow and product engagement. - Training & Upskilling
– Deliver hands-on training to store teams, empowering them to maintain and elevate VM standards independently. - Commercial Impact
– Monitor sales performance and customer feedback to evaluate and optimise the effectiveness of VM initiatives. - Innovation & Trends
– Stay ahead of retail and design trends, introducing fresh, innovative ideas to maintain a leading presence in the homewares market.
About You:
- 4–5 years' experience in a multi-site visual merchandising role, ideally in homewares, lifestyle, or fashion retail.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong creative and commercial acumen, with an eye for detail and a passion for design-led storytelling.
- Experience creating VM guidelines and translating them into practical in-store execution.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects, including new store openings and large-scale campaign rollouts.
- Flexible and willing to travel regularly to stores across Australia.
- A collaborative, proactive approach with excellent communication skills.
- Competent in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and PowerpPoint
