FULL TIME or PART TIME

THE ROLE:

EPIS is seeking support workers to join the East Pilbara Independence Support (EPIS) team in Newman. We have an exceptional opportunity for support workers to provide aged care support services to the Newman community. We currently have Full-Time and Part Time positions available.

EPIS is a leading provider in quality Aged Care and Respite Services in the Inland Pilbara and Western Desert.

EPIS provides person-centred care by delivering services based upon understanding and assisting clients to live and achieve an appropriate degree of independence according to their own abilities, specific needs, and family and community support.

YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE ASSURED BY HAVING:

  • Excellent understanding of the life challenges and barriers for Indigenous Australians
  • Experience in working with Indigenous peoples in a community setting.
  • Good level of clinical problem-solving skills
  • Friendly and caring nature person with cheerful attitude
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Database Systems
  • Can work flexible hours (Morning, Afternoon and Night shifts, Weekends)
  • Possess a current WA Driver's License.
  • Experience in the Aged Care Sector and / or Not-for-Profit environment (Desirable)
  • Certificate III in Aged Care/Disability or equivalent required.
  • Current and Valid Police Clearance
  • Current CPR/First Aid.
