EPIS provides person-centered care by delivering services based upon understanding and assisting clients to live and achieve an appropriate degree of independence according to their own abilities, specific needs, and family and community support.

THE ROLE

EPIS is seeking a Cook to join the East Pilbara Independence Support (EPIS) team in Newman. We currently have full-time position available for this role. The primary responsibility of the Cook is to manage all aspects of food services within EPIS.

KEY DUTIES

• To understand food choices for the elderly including, balanced nutrition and appropriate foods for clients.
• To develop monthly menus and organize the shopping for all the food supplies.
• To ensure the kitchen is cleaned and up to standard.
• To manage menus and recipes for all Houses.
• To prepare and cook daily meals for the clients and when required (e.g. client activities and functions).
• To provide professional and high-quality food services to the clients by having a comprehensive understanding of their food requirements, choices and preferences.

YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE ASSURED BY HAVING:

• Experience in working with Indigenous peoples in a community setting.
• Friendly and caring nature person with cheerful attitude
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Possess a current WA Driver's License
• Police Clearance
