Governance Administration Officer

  • Support Council's statutory governance, information access, and privacy obligations through accurate processing, recordkeeping, and ethical practice.
  • Permanent, Part – Time (21 hours per week) Role.
  • Salary from $70, $76,251.64 per annum on pro rata basis plus 12% Superannuation.

About the Role

As the Governance Administration Officer, you will:

  • Support Council's statutory responsibilities by processing GIPA, privacy, and information access requests.
  • Assist with proactive disclosure, including preparing open-access information and maintaining statutory resources.
  • Help manage privacy matters, including complaints, data breach notifications, and related registers.
  • Provide administrative and meeting support, ensuring accurate records, agendas, minutes, and registers.
  • Contribute to governance initiatives that strengthen transparency, compliance, and organisational integrity.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong administrative and records management skills, with confidence using EDMS/CRM systems (TechnologyOne experience is highly valued).
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgement, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Good research, analytical, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge or experience with information access and privacy legislation (such as GIPA, PPIP, or HRIPA) and a willingness to apply these in day-to-day tasks.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Practical experience applying GIPA, PPIP, or HRIPA legislation or supporting proactive information release.
  • Experience supporting meetings, such as preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up action items.
