What is Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA)?
Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is a national employment program led by Endeavour Foundation that empowers people with intellectual disability to prepare for, gain and sustain meaningful open employment. It focuses on person-centred support, employer engagement, and creating lasting inclusion in the workforce.

About The Role
As a
Career Development Advisor
, you will drive inclusive employment outcomes by connecting people with intellectual disability to local job opportunities. This is a front-line, target-driven role where you'll combine case management with proactive employer engagement to create sustainable employment matches that benefit both the individual and the business.

You'll play a vital role in supporting our mission to make possibilities a reality—providing tailored support, career development planning, and a strong customer experience for both participants and employers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with local employers and identify job opportunities through networking, cold calling, and business development.
  • Work one-on-one with participants to understand goals, address barriers, and develop employment pathways.
  • Match participants to suitable roles and support them through recruitment, placement, and post-placement care.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation aligned with contractual and organisational standards.
  • Meet performance targets and KPIs related to placements, customer satisfaction, and business development.

About You

  • Experience in employment services, recruitment, training, or community services.
  • Proven success in a sales or target-driven environment.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of employer needs and the local labour market.
  • Ability to work independently and in a dispersed team environment.
  • Experience working with people with intellectual disability or other support needs (highly regarded).
