About the role (Temporary full-time for up to 12 months)

The Payroll Support Officer provides accurate, responsive, and timely payroll services for employees across the Parliament.

This role processes fortnightly payroll runs, maintains employee data in SAP HR, and ensures all transactions comply with relevant legislation, awards, and policies. You'll work closely with the payroll team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused payroll services and support process improvements and data integrity during the upcoming ERP transition.

About you:

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in payroll processing and administration in a complex or multi-award environment.
  • Demonstrates strong accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Understands payroll legislation, awards, and employment conditions.
  • Is proficient in SAP HR (or a comparable payroll system).
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team and delivers excellent customer service.
