Position Overview

We are looking for anexperienced Mechanical Designer to provide support in a diverse role within a professional but friendly environment. This is a full-time position based in our Perth Office.

The position will include but not be limited to:

  • Coordination of mechanical design projects from feasibility level through to detailed design.
  • Detailed design of mechanical elements, such as conveyors, surge bins, chutes and transfer stations
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g. civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure coordination and integration of mechanical elements with overall plant design
  • Prepare design drawings with sufficient detail for fabrication where required.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in mechanical design, with 3+ years of Multidisciplinary design experience in the mining and resources sector.
  • Relevant experience in mining, minerals processing, and/or bulk materials handling industries.
  • Experience across a range of commodities, including gold, copper, lithium and iron ore, is favourable
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing mechanical design in the Australian mining sector.
  • Familiarity with engineering design software packages such as Bentley MicroStation and Prosteel.
