Position Title: Support Worker

Location: Melbourne CBD – main locations we are currently hiring for are Coburg, Glenroy and Brunswick.

Glenroy shifts are Daily am

Coburg Mon-Friday - 12pm - 5pm

Brusnwick Thursday 11am-2pm.

Employment Type: casual

Salary Range: $37-$42 an hour casual + $0.54 First aid allowance

Overview:

The Support Worker role plays a key role in providing high-quality care and support services to our clients. In this casual role, you will be providing essential in-home and community-based supports to participants living with a range of disabilities in the Melbourne area. This is an important position that will have a direct impact on the wellbeing and independence of our clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and grooming
  • Helping clients with meal preparation, housekeeping, and running errands
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Social and Group outings
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and client care plans

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a similar aged care or disability support role
  • Certificate IV in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have worked with non-verbal clients
  • Compassionate and patient approach when working with vulnerable clients
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Current First Aid certification, NDIS Clearance and Working with Children Check
  • Driver's License.
  • Must be available to work mornings, afternoons and weekends.
  • Must be able to work with individuals with disabilities of all needs, including complex needs and intellectual disabilities.
