About Amicus
We're a people-first company focused on creating inspiring workspaces and empowered teams. At Amicus, your well-being comes first – with hybrid work options, a 9-day fortnight, and training and leadership development tailored for your growth.
We're proud of our award-winning culture, our flexible working model, and our mission to positively influence people's lives through exceptional workspace design and delivery.
With offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, we specialise in workspace fitout across office, education, laboratory and hospitality sectors. Our services also extend to workplace strategy, leadership, culture, technology and finance.
We're high-trust, high-performance, and always looking for people who share our passion for learning, growth, and making meaningful contributions.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager at Amicus, you'll lead the delivery of large-scale commercial fitout projects, ensuring exceptional outcomes across quality, safety, program and budget. You'll play a strategic and hands-on role, combining commercial insight with operational excellence to deliver multiple high-value projects concurrently.
You'll collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders – including clients, contractors, consultants and suppliers, while also supporting preconstruction and sales teams with technical guidance and insights.
This is a senior leadership role within our Delivery Team and is ideal for someone who thrives on accountability, continuous improvement and mentoring others. If you're ready to take ownership of complex projects in a culture that values flexibility, development and results – we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex commercial fitout projects.
• Oversee programs, budgets, contracts and quality to ensure exceptional project outcomes.
• Support bid and sales processes with technical advice, costings and program insights.
• Lead PCG meetings, manage reporting, financial forecasting and ensure positive cash flow.
• Maintain ISO compliance across quality (9001), environmental and safety
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction across all projects.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project profitability.
• Coach and support junior team members to build delivery capability across the team.
You'll Be a Great Fit if You Have
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project management (ideally in D&C or commercial fitout).
• A strong grasp of contracts (incl. AS4901, AS4902, AS4903 and AS4000) and risk allocation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and inspire others.
• Experience with project and ERP systems (e.g. MS Project, ACC).
• Qualifications in Project Management or Construction Management (favourable).
• Construction White Card, First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
Why You'll Love Working at Amicus
• Enjoy a 9-day fortnight – more time for life outside work.
• We're on a mission to inspire people and transform workspaces – you'll see your work make a real difference.
• We've been growing steadily since 2005 and offer stability, growth and a strong project pipeline.
• Paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers - to bond, rest and return to work feeling supported and ready.
• Enjoy birthday leave plus an extra day off each full year of service, up to 5 additional days.
What Might Not Work for You
• We operate with high trust and high expectations – you'll need to own your outcomes.
• We move fast – with multiple projects and tight timelines, adaptability is key.
• We provide regular feedback and coaching – personal development is part of the deal.
