About The Role:

We are currently seeking experienced support workers for a Community Participation (CP) role based in the Sunshine (NSW) area. We are specifically looking for candidates with backgrounds in Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), and/or community participation. This role would suit someone looking for flexible ours with capacity to build over time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting participant/s with community access and engagement
  • Aid with confidence building within the community.
  • Promote social inclusion, encourage skill-building.
  • In addition, you will be managing behavioural and emotional needs in community settings to improve life skills.
  • The broader team will support you.
  • You will work 6 hours each day in a split shift set up. (3hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening)

What We are Looking For

You are calm, dependable, and physically capable of working independently. You have strong de-escalation skills and are confident in managing complex mental health or behavioural needs.

Ideally, you will have:

· Experience supporting individuals with metal health or AOD-related needs.

· Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence

· An initiative-taking mindset and the ability to follow detailed support plans.

· Confidence in documenting progress and incidents accurately

· Available for an immediate start

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Available vaccination history

· Completed current NDIS modules.

· Evidence of Australian Working Rights

· 2 Relevant reference checks

· NSW Working with Children Check

· National Police Check (Less than 6 months old)
