Yarrambat Kennels & Cattery is seeking dedicated, experienced, and physically capable individuals to join our team

Casual Kennel/Cattery Assistant (Peak Periods)

This role is ideal for someone who is reliable and available during peak times, including school holidays, public holidays, Easter, Christmas, New Year's Day and other busy periods. The successful candidate will primarily support our animal care team during these periods, ensuring our high standards of care and cleanliness are maintained when demand is at its highest.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a kennel, animal shelter, veterinary clinic, or similar environment (non-negotiable).
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • A current, valid driver's licence.
  • Confident using computers and learning new booking or management systems.
  • Physically fit and comfortable performing manual, active tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Previous experience in administration or customer service.
  • Willingness and availability to work weekends, public holidays, school holidays, Easter, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Preferred

  • Experience using booking software (Gingr or similar systems).
  • Calm, confident, and professional communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues.
