About the Position:
The Shire of Broome is seeking a motivated and capable individual to join our Governance team in the role of Senior Administration & Governance Officer on a 24-month fixed-term contract.
This position plays a key role in supporting the Manager Governance, Strategy and Risk, while also contributing to the wider organisation and Council in meeting legislative, statutory and performance responsibilities.

This is a 24 fixed term full-time role Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm with a 45-minute lunch break. Enjoy a Monthly rostered days off. Attendance at Council meetings outside standard working hours will be required. Flexible working arrangements considered for the right candidate.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A sound knowledge of the Local Government Act and regulations, or experience and exposure to other legislation and regulation in a compliance related role.
- Experience in the preparation of agendas and minutes.
- Demonstrated experience in policy and procedure development.
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office 365. Experience in Infocouncil will be highly regarded.
- The ability to work autonomously, exercising initiative and judgment, as well as in a team.
- A mature, responsible and solution-focused attitude.
